"Monpakhi" (মন পাখি) is a beautiful phrase in Bengali, translating to "Soul's Bird". The phrase is often found in Bengali literature poetically representing the freedom and the longing of one's soul or inner desires, often likened to a bird flying freely.
The series is a collection of eight paintings that illustrate various emotions a woman experiences being in love. The bird is a metaphor for a woman's emotions and the color palette embodies her feelings & the progression of her love’s journey, allowing each painting to echo the layered emotions.

Sylvan Reverie is an intimate journey into the heart of nature, memory, and longing. Inspired by the lush forests, rolling hills, and my childhood days spent in the North East, landscapes encountered during my travels, these paintings reflect the deep, lasting impressions nature has left on my heart.
The trees, roots, and branches in the paintings are metaphor for life, intertwined, growing, stretching away from home & family yet anchored by the roots. The leafless trees evoke a silent dialogue between my present life in concrete cities and the verdant landscapes of my past. They do not symbolize desolation; rather, they embody patience, resilience, and the quiet assurance that spring is just around the corner.
This series is my personal reverie of nostalgia, hope & exploration of separation and reunion. Through these artworks, I express my longing for my home, my memories and the belief that despite distance and time, life endures and blossoms anew.
